Privacy Policy

HeyMutuals (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a personal CRM built to help individuals maintain meaningful relationships. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep things simple: your data is yours, and we will never sell it.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve HeyMutuals.
• Authenticate your account and keep it secure.
• Send you reminders and notifications you have configured.
• Respond to support requests and communications.
• Understand how the service is used in aggregate so we can make it better.

We do not use your contact or relationship data to train machine-learning models, and we do not use it for advertising.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only in these limited circumstances:

• Service providers — trusted third parties that help us operate the service (e.g., cloud hosting, email delivery). They are contractually prohibited from using your data for any purpose other than providing their service to us.
• Public profile — if you create a public profile with a handle, the information you add to that profile (name, bio, links) is visible to anyone with the link. You control exactly what appears there.
• Legal requirements — if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of HeyMutuals or others.
• Business transfers — in the event of a merger or acquisition, your data may transfer to the successor entity. We will notify you before that happens.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or compliance purposes.

We use industry-standard practices to protect your data: encrypted connections (TLS), hashed passwords, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but protecting your data is a core part of how we build and operate HeyMutuals.

You can, at any time:

• Access and update your account information from your settings.
• Export your contact and relationship data.
• Delete your account and all associated data.
• Opt out of non-essential email communications by clicking unsubscribe in any email.

If you are in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with privacy laws that grant additional rights (such as rectification, restriction of processing, or portability), you may exercise those rights by contacting us at privacy@heymutuals.com.

HeyMutuals is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by displaying a notice in the app before the changes take effect. The effective date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent version.
